What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at RRK Company?
As our new Accounting Assistant, you will be reporting to our Assistant Controller and responsible for supporting the accounting department with basic accounting skills and attention to details.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable data entry for multiple entities
- Prepare bank deposits
- Prepare intercompany invoices
- Prepare weekly check runs for approval and cut checks/process EFTs for approved payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Compile and reconcile monthly loan draw packages (including pay application reconciliations).
- Filing of vendor remittance information and contact details.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office and Excel
- Yardi Accounting software experience strongly preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to follow capital project coding and operational coding guidelines.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- High school degree required
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
