RRMM is searching for an interior designer that will play an integral rose in our continued growth through the Mid-Atlantic. This position is based out of our headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginis with the opportunity to work from home two days a week once fully trained and approved by the supervisor. This position will require assisting in design and completing the interior design requirements for projects – starting with design concepts followed by construction documents and construction administration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide programming, space planning and spatial layouts
- Create original design concepts, including finish materials, and presentation boards.
- Coordinate with consultants including architectural, lighting, MEP, etc.
- Develop full interior drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, RCP, millwork, details & specific schedules.
- Develop FF&E packages
- Ensure continuity and consistency of design deliverables, meet project schedules, budgets and deadlines.
- Review and check all work for design, accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and work effectively within a collaborative team environment on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with experience designing interior projects for the healthcare, state/DEB, municipal and/or education.
- Knowledge of custom millwork construction.
- Knowledge of construction materials, details, standards and building codes.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
