Summary
The Services Coordinator () is responsible for cultivating a positive and supportive community, directly assisting with participant activities, while ensuring the maintenance of a safe environment for effective program operations. Responsibilities include monitoring and assisting with resident situations, greeting all visitors, and supporting program staff. The Services Coordinator serves as a liaison between participants, Case Management, and other program staff. S/he/they act as the ongoing point of contact for participants and their guests, informally guiding and supporting participants as needs arise and fostering connections with staff and/or available resources. This person is responsible for maintaining accountability and a constructive atmosphere that promotes participant motivation and overall wellbeing.
As part of fostering a safe environment, S/he/they maintain fire, housekeeping, and sanitation regulations along with monitoring and assisting with participant situations that occur throughout the building, redirecting unassociated individuals with compassion, and supporting program staff towards achievement of organizational mission. Site dependent and/or as needed, the Services Coordinator will also be responsible for completing various duties for non-participant tenants. This position requires a foundation of self-confidence, creativity, and the ability to exercise discretion. S/he/they must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients, and the belief that everyone is deserving of a new beginning. S/he/they must be able to work independently, crave collaboration, follow directions from multiple supervisors, and be able to follow-up consistently on tasks, projects, and situations that occur on site. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, learn new roles, and take direction and critical feedback is a must.
Pay ranges from $20-$23 per hour
Open Shifts:
Full-Time - 8AM to 4PM
Full-Time - 10AM to 6PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Person-Centered Customer Service and coordinated support to clients/residents, guests, staff and all other community stakeholders. as scheduled, via phone and desk coverage.
- Provide participants with direct support on an informal basis as needed.
- Implement all safety and security requirements for the building. Coordinate and troubleshoot day to day logistics of facility.
- Assess and deescalate conflict with participants in a manner that ensures safety for the individual as well as the community.
- Act as a role model for staff and participants by conducting service interactions with an elevated level of professionalism and boundaries.
- Maintain electronic health records in accordance with the expectations for timely and thorough documentation.
- Safeguard personally identifiable health information (PHI) in accordance with duties and current agency HIPAA notification statement and standards.
- Uphold and enforce building and program policies.
- Processes and oversees participant medication(s) in accordance to program/site medication policies and procedures (program/site specific).
- Provides triage support in emergency situations.
- Performs searches of facility and participants and their belongings as needed or scheduled (program/site specific).
- Assists with supply ordering, preparation and supervision of meal service as needed (program/site specific).
- Answer resident/client and guest questions in person and over the phone.
- Issues warrants in compliance with contracting agency directives (program/site specific).
- Participates in staff meetings, in-service training, outside training events, and additional training as deemed necessary to maintain personal growth and development, as well as professional competence.
- Assists in orienting new staff or interns as needed.
- Participate in continued training and development as instructed by Leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED
- Have skills and knowledge acquired through at least one of the following:
- AS/BS/BA in a health or human services related field
- one year of experience with the target population served
- experience as a certified peer specialist according to Minnesota Statues section 256B.0615
- meets the requirements for unlicensed personnel under Minnesota Statutes sections 144A.43 to 144A.483.
- One-year free of problematic substance use.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to relate with people from diverse backgrounds with multiple individual and systemic barriers to success.
- If currently employed at RS EDEN, must have at least 6 months in current role, in good standing.
