What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Support Specialist position at RS&H?
The Opportunity
RS&H is currently seeking an experienced contract support specialist to join our team.
This position will work a hybrid schedule as agreed upon at the time of hire. As part of the construction management team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by analyzing complex contractor schedules/baselines, revised baselines, and updates for compliance with the contract documents; preparing and submitting construction contract status reports for a variety of projects; producing reports and verifying quantity calculations and field measurements for payment purposes; preparing and processing construction contract changes; reviewing and managing contract documentation; assisting with tracking materials acceptance, progress, and final estimate processing and EEO compliance; participating in the development of proposals for large projects; and planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project requiring the exercise of independent judgement. This position may also provide quality assurance, technical guidance, and assign tasks to junior and support staff for the project duration.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have a passion for the construction management field and experience in road and bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) project-related duties (e.g., progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, and processing construction contract changes).
- Be experienced in the use of standard word processing software.
- Possess organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Have the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others.
Preferred qualifications:
- Civil Engineering degree
- Prior FDOT experience
