POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Sale Manager of EPCs at Resilient Structures, you will lead our sales efforts targeting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms that specialize in the power utility industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the EPC landscape, strong relationships with key decision-makers, and a proven track record of success in complex sales cycles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development:
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential EPC clients within the power utility sector.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new accounts and expand existing relationships.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
Sales Execution:
- Lead the entire sales process, from initial contact to contract closure, including needs assessment, solution development, proposal generation, specification of solutions and negotiation.
- Present compelling value propositions to executives and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., regional sales, product management, engineering, finance, HR) to ensure seamless customer engagement and sales delivery.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at EPC firms.
- Proactively address customer concerns and provide exceptional customer service.
- Foster a collaborative environment with internal teams to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
Technical Support:
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that EPC project requirements are clearly understood and provide oversight to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for management.
TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- EPC Expertise: Deep knowledge of the EPC business model and challenges faced by power utility EPC firms.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the utility or infrastructure sector. Military experience is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of utility industry operations, including transmission and distribution networks, regulatory frameworks, and EPC workflows.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and resolve stakeholder conflicts to ensure project success.
- Relationship Building: Strong skills in influencing key decision-makers and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Sales Expertise: Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and consistently exceeding sales quotas.
- Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to comprehend and work with complex technical solutions.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) to visit project sites and EPC partner offices.
