Specialty Welder Journeyman

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The Welder will work primarily on construction sites and in fabrication shops, contributing to the successful completion of projects. Duties Perform welding tasks using various techniques including Stick welding and pipe threading. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications. Fabricate metal components according to design requirements. Operate machinery such as forklifts and machining equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect completed welds for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines. Skills Proficient in various welding techniques including rig welding and stick welding. Strong ability in blueprint reading for accurate fabrication of components. Experience with machining processes and equipment operation. Familiarity with tools such as micrometers for precise measurements. Ability to operate forklifts safely on construction sites. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
