Job Description:
The Quality Control Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient workflows by managing the job completion process for our HVACR technicians. This position directly supports field operations by handling technician checkouts, verifying job details, and ensuring accurate data entry, which enables other departments to operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technician Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for field technicians as they complete jobs, ensuring all necessary information is accurately reported before checkout.
- Data Accuracy & Documentation: Verify service details, materials used, time on site, and any follow-up actions required, ensuring all job data is recorded correctly.
- Workflow Coordination: Communicate job status updates to dispatchers, service managers, and other relevant teams to maintain seamless operations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify discrepancies in job details and proactively work with technicians to correct errors before finalizing work orders.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve checkout procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks in the job completion process.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all required documentation, customer approvals, and compliance standards are met before closing out a job.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple technician checkouts simultaneously.
- Experience in HVACR, mechanical contracting, or a service industry support role is not required but is considered a bonus.
- Strong typing and computer skills, with a focus on speed and accuracy
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new software systems
- Open to constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
