Overview :
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of sales and commissions. Including review of deposits, statements, and check postings into our Accounting system. As a large independently owned travel company handling various accounts with substantial amount of deposits and checks in multiple currencies, accuracy is critical. This role involves verifying that vendor statements align with system entries in terms of dollar amounts and transaction lines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Statement Reconciliation : Compare vendor statements with system entries to ensure the total amounts and the number of transaction lines match.
- Quality Checks : Validate that all deposits and payments are correctly posted from manual uploads or automated processes.
- Data Management : Utilize Excel to format, sort, and filter data sets, create pivot tables, and apply basic formulas to analyze discrepancies.
- Issue Resolution : Identify and report any mismatches or errors, working closely with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Process Improvement : Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance the quality assurance and reconciliation processes.
- Documentation : Maintain clear records of checks performed and issues identified to support audits and reporting.
