What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Front Desk Lead - Gold's Gym - San Marcos position at RSG Group?
In this role, you will lead, direct, and control all facets of the Gym during the after-hours time with an emphasis on staff & member safety as well as overall gym administration with cleanliness of the gym.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership/Management Duties:
- Administer the Company's policies and procedures during the night hours.
- Communicate effectively with all employees working that shift.
- Attend and participate in all mandatory meetings per the gym needs and General Manager.
- Ensure that all staff are adhering to the Staff Uniform Policy including always having name tags on while on duty.
- Responsible for reporting any disciplinary actions involving gym level employees during the after hours.
- Responsible for monitoring and taking any appropriate action with all incident reports filed at gym involving members and staff.
- Oversee the night shift schedule of each gym department.
Operational Duties:
- Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service during the night/after hours through the development of the staff.
- Provide effective on-site decision making regarding customer service issues.
- Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and operationally sound by inspecting facility daily for cleanliness.
- Ensure the functionality of equipment and physical plant with maintenance department as needed.
- Ensure all equipment and facility repair needs are logged in the maintenance binder by the end of each shift.
- Responsible for Front Desk Associates and Kid's Club Associates that may be assigned to the night shift to ensure policies and procedures as outlined in the Gym Operations Manual and Kid's Club Operations Manual are followed at all times.
- Responsible for Front Desk Associates and Kid's Club Associates to emphasize superior customer service.
- Maintain all front desk binders according to GGI Policy and Procedure.
- Responsible for organizing the planogram, and stocking the shelves and coolers as outlined by the General Manager.
- Responsible for retail, concession sales.
- Manage the Daily Activity Log and Maintenance Log for the assigned shift.
- Attend required training and management meetings as requested.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- High School diploma (or GED) with 3 years of fitness company experience required.
- Experience working in a late-night environment.
- Service-oriented, self starter with an accomplishment oriented mentality.
- Computer skills preferred: PC with MicroSoft Office and the operational systems of Gold's Gym.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management, project coordination and job follow-through skills.
- Ability to interface with employees at all levels.
- Exhibit a superior sense of customer service at all times.
- Must possess good leadership abilities.
- Understanding of basic retail transaction procedures.
- Ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact and professionalism.
- Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic.
