Job Overview:
The Fire Alarm Inspector inspects new electrical systems and completed repairs or upgrades on existing electrical systems ensuring compliance with national, state and local electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks
• Testing various Fire Alarm Systems per NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm/ Clean Agent / Water-Based Suppression Systems)
• Perform deficiency repairs
• Supervises, directs, monitors, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians
• Instructs employees assisting them in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work principles and technical principles that are being used
• Provides input on employee evaluations
• Completes all assignment-related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance with minimal loss of work time
• Collaborates with Fire Marshal on project final inspections
• Identifies, schedules and facilitates all jobsite related inspections with Customer and Field Service Manager
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Holds current Fire Life Safety card
• Holds current ACE card
• Effectively communicates with managers, sales, foremen, general contractors and customers
• Demonstrates good initiative and keeps organized & busy throughout the work day.
• Basic Trouble shooting skill
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Common Knowledge of Various Fire Alarm Systems
• Common Knowledge of various Water-Based Suppression Systems
• Common knowledge of various Clean Agent Systems
• NICET Certification Preferred ( Not Required )

Compensation:
Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.
Work environment:
Active commercial jobsite under construction performing the following:
Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots and high viz vest/ shirt
Working around energized equipment
Working days, night, weekends, and overtime as required
Willing and able to work in confined and/or small spaces
Constant collaboration with fellow team members
This role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow
Salary : $38 - $50
