We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payables and receivables. Your duties will include reviewing account information and correcting errors, creating quotes, invoices, obtaining purchase orders, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong mathematical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Processing and accurately recording transactions
- Maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses
- Sending reminders regarding overdue payments
- Researching any account discrepancies and taking appropriate action for resolution
- Creating accurate and informative reports
- Collaborating with internal and external providers to gather additional information, ensure accounts are up-to-date
- Communicating with clients regarding the payments on their accounts
- Auditing Financial Records
- Withholding Tax per International Standards
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
