Special Services Preschool Speech Therapist
RSU 21 is adopting the evaluation, service delivery, and FAPE responsibilities for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old students. We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working with, evaluating, and supporting IEP teams in decision-making for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with families and community resources to support the referral process and facilitate the timeline from referral to eligibility determination.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Communication Disorders.
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Maine.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC).
ASHA membership (American Speech-Language Hearing Association).
Valid Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
Reports to: Director of Special Education and Pre-School Special Services Program Coordinator
Terms of Employment: Salary based on the current KAKEA Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement with additional per diem days as needed to meet compliance, evaluation, and case management responsibilities.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the building administrator.
