Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Retail General Manager to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive and industrial coatings sales, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with B2B clients. Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and build an efficient team to maximize productivity.
- Manage the day-to-day operations through training and accountability to performance goals.
- Achieve monthly sales and expense goals
- Update pricing as necessary
- Manage a single unit’s financials including but not limited to P&Ls and balance sheets.
- Manage the day-to-day inventory flow and procurement.
- Maintain an OSHA-compliant unit
- Execute store merchandising standards
- Complete daily deposits on time with no variances.
- Conduct performance evaluations of subordinates
- Continuous improvement in product knowledge and services
- Ensure appropriate staffing level for daily unit coverage
- Identify new revenue streams for growth by developing new relationships throughout the community.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures in the company handbook.
- Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted or up to 300lbs with a dolly.
Requirements:
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to follow and execute sales plans.
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- A driving record
- Valid in-state driver’s license
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience in paint, body, and equipment (PBE) sales or related industry fieldwork.
Starting pay: $45,000 based on experience and skill level. Plus, commission and incentive opportunities
