I’m an Engineering Manager at RTA, and I’m looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on learning the ropes, contributing to feature development, and refining your skills in a supportive environment. Specifically For This Job, Someone Who

  • Has 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships or personal projects count!).
  • Is familiar with JavaScript and Node.js or has experience with similar languages and frameworks.
  • Understands basic database concepts and has some exposure to MSSQL or other relational databases.
  • Is eager to learn about Docker, AWS, and other modern development tools.
  • Is comfortable using GitHub for version control.
  • Has a basic understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented architecture.
  • Is willing to collaborate with more experienced team members to develop their skills.
  • Writes code that is secure, maintainable, and well-documented.
  • Can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

  • Follow Best Practices: Embrace and implement coding standards and team processes.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, and relational databases like MSSQL.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, version control, and basic REST API concepts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to team success.
