RTA is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team to focus on revenue recognition and collections management. Ideal candidates love knowing the numbers, enjoy working with a team, and find the balance between confidence and admitting their mistakes. - Has experience with SaaS accounting and ASC 606 revenue recognition practices.
- Enjoys all aspects of accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
- Is passionate about collections.
- Pays incredible attention to detail, particularly with numbers, G/L codes, and balancing accounts.
- Loves using technology and systems to find ways to be more efficient.
- Has experience in QuickBooks Online and you might be our Sensei if you also have experience in SaaSOptics/Maxio.
- Can communicate well, with empathy and emotional intelligence.
Key Results Areas (aka the Job Outcomes)
- Track subscription-based revenue, deferred revenue, and recognize revenue accurately.
- Verify contracts and billing terms with sales and customer success teams.
- Timely prepares and processes client invoices and collections using SaaSOptics/Maxio.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation and process reviews.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in Accounting in a SaaS company.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, SaaS Optics/Maxio, and HubSpot preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SaaS revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), and subscription-based business models.
