DevOps Engineer III

6 months of contract

75 to $85 / hr on w2 (Depends on exp)

Remote

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (contractor) to support our CI / CD infrastructure and Kubernetes-based deployments . The team manages critical Machine Learning platform services that require high availability, performance, and scalability .

We need a contractor to help automate infrastructure processes and improve deployment pipelines through the end of FY25 . Your work will significantly reduce operational burdens and enhance service reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and implement CI / CD pipelines for service and client releases using ArgoCD .
Develop a GitOps-based workflow for testing, code release, and image builds .
Migrate services and production traffic across Kubernetes infrastructures / clusters .
Maintain and automate security updates for Kubernetes infrastructure (e.g., API servers, node groups).

Required Skills & Experience

3 years of experience in Python (or Golang).

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (configuration, operations, application deployment).

Experience configuring and operating ArgoCD for deployment automation.

Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, and CI / CD pipelines .

Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (DNS, load balancing, ingress, telemetry, logging).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting high-scale ML infrastructure (1000 requests per second, sub-second latency).

Strong ability to write clean, efficient code and automate DevOps workflows.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills .

Disqualifiers

Weak coding ability.

AWS-specific experience without broader cloud-native Kubernetes expertise .

Poor communication, lack of focus, or disorganized workflow.

Location & Work Setup

Remote (Pacific Time preferred, but not required) .

Set compensation based on Seattle market rates .
