Job Description:
The Content Platform team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to provide first-level support and development for production software applications related to merchandising. The role involves troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing fixes for internally developed code in Perl, C/C , and Java. Responsibilities include:
- Developing monitoring solutions and improving system metrics.
- Running SQL queries to enhance data processing.
- Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges.
- Collaborating with internal teams to update and enhance existing software.
- Automating support processes and documenting systems.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Perl, C/C , and/or Java.
- Experience with Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/Linux.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Team & Project Details:
- Supports Clients Payment Products, including customer rewards and finance.
- Key projects involve promo financing dashboards, Prime rewards calculations, financing offers, and migration projects.
- Role is filling in for a team member on leave.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Work with tech leads, project managers, and stakeholders.
- Join design meetings to discuss technical details and solutions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in software development lifecycles (requirements clarification, design, testing, implementation, launch).
- Ability to independently deliver testing and launch phases.
- Strong communication skills.
- AWS certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Java (Required)
- Typescript, React (Nice to have)
- Technical writing and documentation experience
Interview Process:
- Two interviews:
- One with the hiring manager.
- One technical round with the team’s tech lead (coding and system design).
