How You’ll Make an Impact :
The Driver is responsible for transporting materials in packaged form to and from specified destinations, including suppliers, outside processes, customers, or freight forwarding agents. This role ensures materials are delivered on time while adhering to safety and security standards.
What You’ll be Doing as a Manufacturing Engineer :
- Load and unload truck and ensure debris from loading / unloading is cleaned up.
- Verify load against shipping papers and prepare purchase orders for picked-up loads.
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure the load is secure, properly fastened, and within weight limits.
- Maintain the truck's cleanliness, perform required DOT inspections, and report any issues or damages to the department lead or supervisor.
- Complete daily paperwork, including logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, and hours of service records.
- Collaborate with the receiving clerk and OSP Supervisor to optimize delivery routes for efficiency.
- Operate a forklift for loading / unloading as needed.
- Adhere to a flexible work schedule based on production needs, including overtime to ensure all packages are delivered by the end of the shift.
- Maintain telephone contact with the supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Observe all safety and security procedures.
- When not specifically engaged in driving duties, it will be required to complete other duties as assigned such as performing shipping and receiving duties under supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including packaging, receiving products, or supporting operational needs.

Work Environment :
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
Compensation and Benefits :
Employee Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match.
The Driver Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $17-20 / hr. commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
