This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the organization’s fleet of revenue fare collection equipment, related networking equipment, and troubleshooting and repair of board level electronic components used in the counting room, bus divisions and light rail stations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
- Implements and maintains troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrade activities of fare box and receiver equipment, ticket vending machine equipment, counting room equipment, smart card reader and pass vending machines. Monitors and follows up on equipment warranty issues.
- Conducts scheduled inspections of work area to ensure equipment, inventory and facilities are maintained in clean, safe and functional operating condition.
- Monitors ticket vending machine network, Wi-Fi network, individual equipment and fare box data network performance and smart card and revenue/ridership data reporting and takes action to resolve any issues as needed.
- Ensures compliance and oversees electronic board level repair/rebuild program to support all revenue collection components.
- All other job-related duties as assigned.
- Associates degree in electronics, electrical engineering, electro-mechanics computer science, project management or a related field
- A minimum of three years of experience in in electronic repair at the board and component level.
- A minimum of at least one year of experience in a supervisory or lead role. Experience supervising in union environment is preferred.
- Ability to pass security/criminal background checks
- Proficiency in file systems, database management, hardware systems architecture and client/server techniques and experience with revenue collection system hardware and software such as LAN, Wi-Fi, Access, revenue/ridership data, and technical diagnostic test equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, on call 24/7 or at any location depending on needs of the position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and asset tracking programs such as Maximus/Asset Works.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record according to the organization’s current criteria.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
