Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Assist in the preparation of IV infusions and other sterile products as required.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to ensure optimal medication management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance within the pharmacy environment.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and medication administration is highly desirable.
- Experience in a hospital or critical care setting is a plus, particularly with acute care patients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.
