Areas of Responsibility (list Duties, Assignments, Tasks, Objectives)
- Perform routine tasks required for the upkeep and operation of the facility, including periodic facility and safety system inspections, and corrective and preventative maintenance
- Ensure scheduled routine tasks are completed on time per the maintenance schedule.
- Respond in a timely manner to maintenance help tickets.
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned facility areas.
- Help facilities technicians with their work, as requested.
- Provide assistance to other employees with tasks such as movement of parts and materials, organization of areas, assembly and movement of furniture, hanging or moving wall furnishings and other ad-hoc requests.
- Arrange for maintenance of company vehicles.
- Communicate with vendors to schedule services and purchase parts and materials.
- Host outside vendors, and ensure their work is done to quality standards.
- Maintain facilities supplies inventory.
- Record work performed per quality system procedures
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma
- 0 – 4 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, construction trades, or other work experience
- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures from team members and ability to follow directions from Team Lead, Supervisor, and Manager is essential.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Detail oriented and able to follow written instructions precisely.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members and other colleagues to achieve established goals.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient with using computers for word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
- Experience in facilities maintenance desired - carpentry, painting, flooring, basic plumbing, etc.
- Minimal to no travel required.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations.
- Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals, material derived from animal tissues, and active pharmaceutical ingredients used in the manufacture of product.
- Physical demands are typical of a commercial maintenance and light manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
