As a Low Voltage Technician at RTI Systems, you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, including surveillance and security solutions. Required:
- · Low Voltage/IP Camera experience – Minimum 5 years
- -* Interested Candidates MUST possess reliable vehicle and vehicle insurance.
- · Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, expertise, and communication skills
- · Possesses a valid driver’s license
- · Carry weights up to 70 pounds
- · Climb ladders that extend up to 28 ft. in height
- · A reliable Truck is required to travel to projects.
- · Must have own basic Low Voltage Hand tools
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Install IP camera systems.
- Familiarity with wiring in PVC or EMT Pipe.
- · Familiarity with network equipment and terminology
- · Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.
- · Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper function and to ensure system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
- · Assist and interface with the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
- · Proper documentation of installation issues/actions/resolutions both internally and externally (acceptance forms, service tickets, etc.)
- · Perform installation and repair work as designated in a profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.
- · Ensure sufficient equipment is in the vehicle to complete assigned daily tasks as well as carry out any other maintenance or repair issues that arise while on a site.
- · Responsible for servicing all projects in Seattle, the surrounding areas, and neighboring states.
- · Highschool Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- · Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assist with contract retention.
- · Fast learner and attention to detail.
- · Must be able to terminate Cat 5 and Cat 6 cables.
- · Familiarity with MS Office programs.
- · Available to work overtime if needed.
- · Travel to remote locations is required.
