As the Retention Marketing Manager, you will play a key role on the Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing. You will work cross-functionally with the creative and marketing teams to ideate and implement retention marketing campaigns with a focus on email, SMS, and package inserts. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of utilizing marketing platforms to manage email / sms sign-ups touchpoints as well as execute campaigns collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver results. This is a great role for someone who is looking to build from the ground up, experiment, innovate and drive meaningful business results.
What You’ll Be Doing Everyday…
Campaign Development
Work closely with our Marketing Campaign Planner and Senior Product Marketing Manager to identify opportunities for lifecycle emails, SMS campaigns, and social posts.
Evaluate flow / triggered lifecycle touch points, suggest improvements and enact changes to bolster the program.
Monitor and improve KPIs retention marketing KPI’s including : Sign-up rates, opt-out rates, revenue per send, customer files size, etc.
Effectively grow the Email, SMS, and Package insert programs to achieve YoY topline and bottom-line growth.
Collaborate with team leaders to facilitate a retention program that balances lifecycle emails with promotional messaging and new product / color launches.
Regularly plan and publish to RTIC’s social platforms with relevant campaign content.
Email Program Management :
Review overall email and SMS calendar to make sure that storytelling, messaging count, and flow are optimized each month.
Own the monthly revenue target for Email and SMS. Ensure plan is on track to hit monthly goals.
Work with creative and copywriting teams to create top-of-the-line emails highlighting the planned themes. Approve final proofs of emails before they are sent out. Attention to detail is key here.
Quickly gain a strong understanding of our product assortment.
Own Email / SMS scheduling.
Gain a deep understanding of email / sms signup touchpoints and customer segments, suggesting opportunities for improvement.
Work with the Director of Digital Marketing on prioritizing A / B tests to drive sign-up rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.
Implement personalization strategies to deliver relevant communications at key stages of the customer journey.
Data Analysis and Insights :
Utilize platform and 3rd party data analytics tools to analyze customer behavior, campaign performance, and program effectiveness.
Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimize email, sms and package insert initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Collaborate closely with other marketing teams (e.g., acquisition, branding, content) to ensure alignment and consistency across all RTIC marketing touchpoints.
Work closely with Custom Shop team leaders to build email and SMS strategies for our B2B division.
Work closely with our Sales team to understand and support our retail business needs as it pertains to retention marketing.

What You’ll Need…
Bachelor's Degree required
3-8 years of experience in Retention Marketing.
Proven results driving email and SMS performance.
Experience with email and sms platforms : Klaviyo and Attentive preferred
Strong mix of retention marketing technical and marketing capabilities.
Ability to work with creative and marketing partners to develop high-performing templates and creative assets.
Ability to understand large data sets and to effectively communicate with analytics / data science teams.
Ability to work with development request / management tools like Jira / Youtrack.
Program builder with an experimentation and problem-solving mindset.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $125,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
