The Twisting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring twister, winder, and automatic doubler machines to ensure consistent output.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Operate twister, winder, and automatic doubler machines
- Follow instructions on how to construct a finished product
- Read yarn tickets to ensure the proper yarn is used
- Record work performed on yarn ticket form
- Watch for end breaks and retie ends when needed
- Restart sections that are not running
- Place full bobbins onto creels
- Package (box) cones and put full boxes on strapping racks
- Sticker cones for proper identification
- Keep accurate records for daily production time sheets and yarn tickets
- Inform supervisor when computer programming is required
- Keep machine clean and free from waste material at all times
- Notify shift supervisor immediately when quality problems are detected
- Use appropriate safety equipment and notify shift supervisor immediately of any hazards detected, any near miss accidents and any accidents
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
