RTP Credit Union is searching for a Branch Manager for our Cary Branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for overall branch operations and performance including the attainment of sales goals, member services, and operational soundness. This position is responsible for safeguarding credit union assets and ensuring branch employees are operating within the policies and procedures of the credit union.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage and coordinate branch operations to ensure superior, personalized service and to ensure services are provided to members in an efficient manner.
· Hire, train, develop, motivate, and reward branch staff.
· Assist the Member Service and Loan Manager with the general status of daily branch operations and the need for possible operational, procedural, and/or policy changes.
· Ensure the branch staff is operating in compliance with federal and state regulation, operational policy, and mandated laws on all operational procedures and daily tasks.
· Perform the duties of Loan Officer, which includes initiating loan applications, credit counseling, cross-selling additional loan products, and loan closings.
· Assist the Member Services and Marketing Director in developing new business and maintaining existing relationships. Business development activities may include, but are not limited to, attending community networking events and recruiting potential new member companies and members in the area.
· Ensure proper operation and maintenance of the facility, equipment, security system, and surrounding grounds of the branch.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of credit union or banking experience is required.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
- Lending experience is preferred.
- College degree is not required but preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
- A general knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to credit union operations is required.
