What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Driver (Dial-A-Ride) position at RTW Management?
RTW Management, in partnership with the City of Camarillo, is looking for experienced Shuttle Bus Drivers for our Dial-A-Ride service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate shuttle buses in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and disembarking the shuttle, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with passengers, providing assistance as needed.
- Adhere to established schedules and routes, adjusting to traffic or weather conditions as necessary to ensure timely arrivals.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, operational safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to report delays, accidents, or other incidents.
- Complete accurate trip logs, records of passenger counts, and any necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in paratransit driving, shuttle bus driving, or related fields preferred.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Ability to lift and secure mobility aids and assist passengers as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact respectfully and patiently with passengers.
