Position:

RPR is seeking a talented and dynamic Account Director to join our growing team. A successful candidate will have at least 6 years’ of agency experience and a commitment to provide exceptional client service.

*This is an in-office role Monday through Thursday at our Midtown Manhattan office. Fridays are remote.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans/programs for all assigned clients and oversee the implementation of all plans/programs by team members ensuring the highest quality and client service

• Oversee the day to day operations of all accounts with responsibility for deadlines and budget adherence

• Produce high quality content across all forms of media

• Cultivate relationships with existing media contacts and continually source new contacts

• Pitch and place coverage for clients in top tier publications

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior level staff supervising quality and performance and ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined

• Actively participate in new business efforts and seek opportunities to grow assigned accounts and source new opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, business communications, or related field

• 6 years’ agency experience  preferably in luxury brands, consumer products or hospitality 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Client facing with the ability to persuade and influence

• Proactive with strong attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines

• Established media contacts

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this exempt role is $80k-$95k/yr. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and location.
