Operations Manager
Main functions for Planning, Sourcing & Logistics
- Analyze, together with Headquarters, the demand and commercial forecast (Planning and Procurement Coordinator).
- Ensure daily production planning (enter manufacturing orders, management & follow up of changes).
- Ensure that the provider fulfills the purchase forecast orders.
- Daily follow-up of out-of-stock references with the Production & Industrialization Manager and the Factory Manager.
- Define Master data and safety stock policies. Follow up with SAP.
- Initial implementation of SAP planning modules. Future follow-up.
- Implementation and follow-up of the KPIs for the Planning department.
- Create the Planning Department´s budget.
- Supervision of component procurement procedures
- Implementation of Procurement Department PDS
- Daily Manage, along with the logistics team, the reception and storage of raw materials.
- Define and manage warehouse policies (positions, SAP modules, etc.). Ensure there is an order within the warehouse.
- Daily control of warehouse occupancy rates.
- Ensure the daily internal logistics from the warehouse to the manufacturing lines. Ensure correct and quick replenishment of components when changing manufacturing references.
- Ensure the daily handling and shipping of the final products to customers or to central Kuehne Nagel warehouses.
- Analyze and define, with the logistics team, the transport distribution, local and import transport (suppliers, prices, unified calendars, etc.).
- Implement the Logistics department.
- Implementation and follow-up of Logistics Department KPIs.
- Create the Logistics Department budget.
- Management and leadership of the team. Ensure correct internal communication and, also, with the other members of RTUSA and GBSA. Motivate the team by creating a comfortable working culture based on cooperation instead of competition. Promote team empowerment and self-confidence. Identify the team’s training needs.
- Participate in the end-of-year factory inventory.
Main functions for production, maintenance, and industrialization manager
- Create the production program considering production planification, processed manufacturing orders, stocks of components, etc.
- Assign the correct resources to execute the production program.
- Follow up, along with the Planification, Procurement & Logistics Manager, the stock of components.
- Request warehouse the required materials needed to execute the production program.
- Management of the scrap created as a result of the manufacturing process.
- Participate, along with HRBP, in indirect labor recruitment and problem-solving.
- Establish, along with Headquarters, the Production & Industrialization Department´s KPIs.
- Create the Production Department´s budget.
- Ensure, along with Headquarters, the timely and correct implementation of new products and lines. Lead the manufacturing start-up with your team.
- Collaborate, along with the Industrial Development Department, in the improvement of manufacturing processes and lines.
- Create the Industrialization Department´s budget.
- Implement the Industrialization department´s PDS.
- Establish maintenance guidelines and monitor daily that procedures are being followed.
- Establish and implement, along with Headquarters, the Maintenance Department´s KPIs.
- Create the Maintenance Department´s budget.
- Implement the Maintenance Department´s PDS.
- Management and leadership of the team. Ensure correct internal communication and, also, with the other members of RTUSA and GBSA. Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a demand manager demand planner or production manager.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in supply chain department/manufacturing sites.
- Analyst and methodical person.
- Autonomous in making his/her own decisions.
- Team player.
- SAP Knowledge.
- Spanish is a Plus.
