Basic Function:
This job function exists to provide the Supply Chain with necessary support to work toward optimizing the bulk distribution locations in North America, as well as ensuring procedure accuracy and validity for Supply Chain Logistics activities. This position is also responsible for service-related customer complaint investigations, carrier incident investigations, carrier management, leased trailer fleet, vendor site audits, and assisting with identifying, evaluating, and facilitating process improvements. This position includes, but is not limited to the following activities:
Control of outbound and inbound shipments at bulk distribution locations. This includes:

Focal point for operational issues at bulk distribution locations. This includes investigating and assisting with any service-related customer complaints or issues, as well as continually exploring options to increase efficiencies and/or reduce costs.
- Process complaints in the C4C Complaint tool - attachment of supporting documentation, calculation of associated costs, and assignment and completion of tasks (must possess functional knowledge of the C4C complaint tool)
- Identify root cause and corrective actions as an output of investigations
- Work with 3rd party vendors and service providers to implement identified corrective actions
- Manage Rubicon’s core carriers
- Distribution incident investigation involving core carriers
- Monitor core carriers KPIs, OTIF, and non-conformances. Collect data, present data during quarterly carrier reviews, provide feedback to Production and Logistics Team, and work with vendors to meet expectations and continuous improvement
- Conduct training as needed to ensure carriers are provided the proper guidance to execute Rubicon’s requirements
- Auditing of carriers on routine basis to validate required processes and procedures are in place to meet Rubicon and customer requirements
- Electronic Inspection/Monitoring Equipment Management
- Maintain hardware (small pool of electronic devices owned by Rubicon) used for electronic inspections of servicing equipment and temperature monitoring
- Leased trailer management
- Management of Rubicon’s fleet of leased trailers. This includes regulatory compliance, maintenance, and utilization.
- Maintaining the leased trailer tracking database. Providing visibility of trailer status, location, and service within the CRT and AIT trailer tracking system
- Procedure coordination to ensure establishment of procedures for Supply Chain Logistics activities; includes review of procedures for accuracy and validity on set intervals.
- Travel may be required to visit 3rd party vendor facilities. It is estimated that this position will travel 20% of the time. Adherence to the corporate travel and expense policy is necessary.
Know How:
Technical
The incumbent must possess a working knowledge of workflow databases, SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Web forms and the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point. The position requires working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques. The use of Lean Six Sigma Principles will be used, requiring knowledge of the principles and tools.
Business
This function requires a person with a significant understanding of bulk liquid transportation and distribution processes. This function also requires general knowledge of the Rubicon organization and businesses.
