Position Overview
The Operating Support Engineer (OSE/Process Engineer) will troubleshoot chemical manufacturing processes, support unit turnarounds, and implement process improvements while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. This role involves analyzing reaction and purification steps, optimizing process performance, and designing equipment and control system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve process inefficiencies and equipment issues.
- Support turnarounds and drive process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor key process variables (temperature, pressure, residence time, composition).
- Design equipment replacements, system layouts, and control improvements.
- Utilize data analysis and process modeling to enhance performance.
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of chemical reactions, process design, and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in PFDs, P&IDs, Aspen software, advanced Excel, and statistical analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Maintain safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
- Support technical troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead process improvements and represent engineering in MOC, PHA, and LoPA reviews.
- Pursue continuous learning and professional development.
