WIOA Career Coach Team Supervisor, Hayward, CA

The WIOA Career Coach Team Supervisor leads a team of Career Coaches providing employment, training, and coaching services to economically disadvantaged job seekers. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Eden Area AJCC Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Case management/coaching and job placement: Individual responsibility for direct services to WIOA program participants including vocational assessments, service referrals, determination of eligibility, coordination of individual training accounts, job development and employment preparation services.
• Assist with job search/placement and provide post-placement support to participants and employers.
• Project management: Development and/or coordination of workshops, resources and team projects.
• People management and development: Involves supervision of WIOA Career Coaches and includes performance management and coaching with responsibility for managing performance outcomes.
• Group facilitation/instruction: Facilitates workshops, discussion groups and/or classes on topics such as WIOA program services, AJCC resources and job readiness.
• Data Documentation and Reporting:  Accurate collection of essential data and information related to job performance.  Timely entry of this information into an electronic data system, and the tracking of important program and service-related information for reporting purposes.  The ability to tabulate data and write narrative responses that effectively report and memorialize necessary information about participants and program activities.  Adherence to agency standards concerning the type, method and timing of data entry at all points of the participant eligibility, enrollment, and service delivery process. A demonstrated understanding of privacy protection and data security, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive and PII throughout all stages of data handling.

COMPETENCIES

• Experience and expertise successfully coordinating workforce development programs and delivering on program outcomes and benchmarks. Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of best practices for assisting economically disadvantaged and/or other misrepresented populations (WIOA vocational counseling and employment services experience highly desirable).
• Excellent organizational, teamwork and communication skills, interpersonal flexibility and the ability to work successfully with minimal supervision. Computer and internet literacy required.
• Cultural Responsiveness and an alignment with our values and commitment to equity and inclusion.
• If you don’t currently possess our organizational core competencies of Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Coaching, you are expected to participate in the necessary training Rubicon provides.

This position requires occasional travel to appointments and other Rubicon meetings; if the employee opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $29-32/hr DOE
