The Entrepreneurial Services manager role serves to deliver totally satisfied clients through the supervising of accurate and timely completion of client deliverables. This includes reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and accounting work prepared by staff. The role serves as a liaison between clients, staff and partners.
Major Responsibilities
- Mange the engagement workflow of client deliverables for multiple clients in various industries
- Understand general accounting concepts and procedures
- Review income tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals
- Review work-papers and financial statements for review and compilation engagements
- Establish direct communication and relationship with clients as primary point of contact
- Develop into role of clients’ trusted advisor
- Plan and execute engagements effectively, adhering to RubinBrown Client Service Standards
- Supervise staff assigned to the engagement
- Identify and communicate accounting and tax matters to other engagement team members

Review payroll compliance filings

Continually build technical expertise

Assist in scoping and onboarding new clients
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
-
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related degree

CPA required

Prior public accounting experience preferred

Prior income tax preparation, including partnerships, corporations and individuals is a plus

Strong problem solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stay organized and appropriately prioritize multiple tasks

Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in a technology environment

Working Conditions
- The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations.
- Travel for this position will be approximately 5% of the year.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout office.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 10-30 pounds.
