Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team in the Albany, GA and Charleston SC area. The ideal candidate will have experience in various concrete finishing techniques and a strong understanding of construction site operations. This role involves working with concrete to create smooth, durable surfaces for various applications, including floors, walls, and hardscapes. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality results and adherence to project specifications.

Duties

• Prepare and set up forms for pouring concrete, ensuring they are level and secure.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and equipment such as concrete mixers.
• Finish surfaces of poured concrete using various tools and techniques, including trowels, floats, and screeds.
• Apply sealants or coatings to finished surfaces as required.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks associated with moving materials and equipment on the construction site.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure proper installation of flooring, roofing, stucco, plaster, and tile laying as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios and walkways.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with various concrete finishing techniques and tools.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
• Knowledge of safety practices on construction sites.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Previous experience with related tasks such as flooring installation, stucco application, or tile laying is a plus.
• A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
