The ideal candidate will have a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited program and be licensed to practice dentistry in states where providing care or eligible for licensure. Other certifications such as CPR, DEA, etc., are also required. Nitrous Oxide certification is necessary for certain states. Compassion and a strong desire to provide dental care to both children and adults are essential qualities.
