SEASONAL PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER (FULL-TIME/DAY SHIFT)

Summary:

Looking for a hands-on, seasonal job in food production? Join Ruby Jewel’s day shift team and help craft our handmade ice cream sandwiches! In this role, you’ll help hand-make, package, and prepare thousands of ice cream sandwiches daily, playing a key part in bringing our delicious treats to customers. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for seasonal or temporary work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This position runs from as early as April 28th, 2025, through August 28th, 2025, with shift hours from 6:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. While seasonal employees are not eligible for full benefits, you will have access to sick leave and can participate in our 401(k) program.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist in ice cream sandwich production and assembly, ensuring each product meets quality standards.
• Prepare and code packaging materials, ensuring accuracy for distribution.
• Stock and organize boxes, bags, and production equipment for smooth workflow.
• Move inventory between production areas, storage freezers, and the warehouse, following proper handling procedures.
• Follow sanitation protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain food safety and cleanliness.
• Understand and comply with plant policies and procedures, including safety and quality control measures.
• Maintain an inclusive and team-oriented attitude, collaborating with coworkers in a fast-paced setting.
• Palletize finished goods in a freezer environment, ensuring safe and organized storage.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, which may involve:

• Operating automated and semi-automated ice cream equipment, such as continuous freezers, packaging machines, and liquid nitrogen tunnels.
• Exposure to allergens, including but not limited to nuts, dairy, gluten, and latex.
• Performing repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift.
• Using various manual (e.g., box knife, broom, etc.).
• Handling hazardous cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.
• Standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other facility personnel.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, with proper lifting techniques.
• Working in cold storage environments (-10°F) for short intervals with appropriate protective gear.

Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 years of food manufacturing in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
