Summary
Substitute teachers are responsible for assuming the duties of the classroom teacher or assistant.
This position is a four day work week.
Teachers are responsible for coordinating the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
A substitute teacher assumes the duties of the teacher in his/her absence.
Substitutes participate in our mentorship program to train them to understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
The substitute must be skilled in communicating effectively with both children and adults.
Substitute must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties
- Execute individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain communications with parents through informal discussions and the Procare app.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate cleanliness standards and the safety and security of children.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check and health screening.
- Requirements include the ability to physically handle the pace of the classrooms, supervise children, lift 20-30 pounds, as well as kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
