- Preparing surfaces by scraping, wire brushing, or sanding to a smooth finish
- Mixing and matching paints to desired colors
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine painting requirements
- Caulking gaps and ensuring surfaces are sealed properly
- Performing masonry work as needed
- Installing fixtures and performing concrete finishing tasks
- Conducting trim carpentry work as necessary
