Rudd Plumbing Heating & Air is locally owned and operated with a reputation for providing quality service and installation throughout the greater Charleston, SC area for the last 10 years.

We are seeking a creative and analytical Marketing Manager to join us full time and continue the amazing momentum our outsourced CMO has generated. The ideal candidate will come from a $15 M service industry company (HVAC / Plumbing / Electrical) having led that company’s marketing efforts over several seasons. Multi-trade, multi-location experience with brand integration, Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, and strong working knowledge of ServiceTitan are highly desired.

The role requires someone analytical and detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. Additional traits would include a collaborative approach and the ability to establish relationships with team members, customers, and partners throughout our community.

The Marketing Manager will plan, organize, implement, and manage advertising strategies, content, campaigns, etc. that drive increased market share, customer engagement, brand recognition, and overall business growth through increased market share.

This will be accomplished by collaborating with Ownership, Management, and Team Members to build and oversee company-wide marketing strategy, goals, budget, content, campaigns, online presence, brand management, and metrics/analytics. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Develop and manage annual marketing plan and budget for cost-effectiveness and ROI to company goals set during annual planning
  • Monitor real-time performance analysis and provide reporting of marketing campaigns to highlight wins and opportunities to make corrective adjustments as needed
  • Monitor and identify effectiveness of all campaigns to compare against market trends, customer preferences, and competitor behaviors to compelling and engaging content.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing campaigns content and results to department goals
  • Responsible for brand management and online presence including, but not limited to, website, Google LSA/GMB, Yelp, PPC campaigns, SEO, Mailchimp, and social media
  • Spearhead proactive efforts/campaigns to stay ahead of seasonality and market trends
  • Attend weekly Managers Meeting, Quarterly Review Meetings, annual Business Planning Workshop (BPW), and lead regular marketing meetings reporting state of marketing to ownership
  • Liaise with current & potential local partners, organizations, etc. for community outreach
  • Ensure marketing materials, swag items, etc are in stock and current
  • Perform weekly market research on industry trends, target customers, campaign effectiveness, competitor analysis, etc
  • Identify and manage relationships with applicable partners, vendors, events, etc.
  • Represent the company at community events, networking opportunities, trade shows, conferences, etc. as well as travel to National and Regional Conferences as needed
  • Actively participate and network through peer groups, online forums, webinars, etc.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet company goals and deadlines
  • Previous experience and training with a Peer Network company such as Nexstar or Service Nation is a strong plus
