Co-op Electrical Department Opportunities
We are seeking a Co-op to join our Electrical Department, where you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge of the duties of a Project Manager/Estimator. You will have the opportunity to shadow a Project Manager during a project and participate in various activities such as:
Safety Protocols
- Attend GEM safety orientation
- Conduct jobsite audits
- Participate in customer/site-specific training
Administrative Tasks
- Plotting drawings
- Drawing/document control
- Creation of as-built drawings
- RFI process management
Proposal Phase
- Assist in proposal development
- Learn to conduct take-offs
- Attend bid openings (public bid work)
Cost Management
- Review field labor costs
- Track delivered materials
Project Meetings
- Participate in pre-planning sessions
- Cost review and analysis
Subcontractor Management
- Labor management, goal setting, and tracking
- Equipment tracking
- Material management
You will also gain insight into how our office, field, fab-shop, and CAD departments collaborate to deliver successful projects by spending time with a mentor and exploring each department's functions.
