This role requires a blend of administrative skills and knowledge of salon services, making it essential for the receptionist to be familiar with salon software and various beauty treatments.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments using salon software, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
- Provide information about services offered and memberships.
- Upsell products and services to enhance client experience and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Assist in mentoring new staff members in front desk operations and customer service techniques.
- Collaborate with stylists to ensure seamless communication regarding client needs and preferences.
- Stay updated on color theory and beauty trends to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with salon software such as BOULEVARD is a plus.
- Knowledge of barber practices, including straight razor shaves, haircuts, and facials.
- Strong upselling skills to promote services effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
