What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Merchandise Planner position at Rue Gilt Groupe?
As a Company Financial Merchandise Planner, you will oversee and manage the financial aspects of merchandise planning and inventory management of multiple categories, either directly or through guiding an Associate Company Planner.
You will leverage data analysis to optimize inventory levels, maximize sales, and achieve financial objectives in collaboration with your merchandise partners and other cross functional teams.
What You’ll Do:

- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise financial plans, including budgets, sales forecasts, and inventory targets for multiple departments.
- Drive and optimize the in-season OTB process to maximize profitability.
- Establish financial strategies that align with overall business objectives and market trends.

- Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and markdowns.
- Utilize advanced forecasting methodologies to project future sales and inventory needs.

- Organize and prioritize workload for self (and direct reports) to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

About You:
- 3 years’ experience in merchandise planning, retail buying, or a related role.
- Knowledge of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced working environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or another quantitative field preferred
- E-commerce experience preferred.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
