Job Title: Construction Engineer
Team Location: Construction & Engineering Team, Waukesha

We are seeking a Construction Engineer in our Waukesha office. The successful candidate will help make community possible through project management, design, field observation, and reporting on a wide variety of projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
· Perform construction management and construction review activities to ensure that construction materials and methods meet specifications and construction plans.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Communicate project information to contractors, project managers, and municipal officials.
· Interact with the public answering questions and addressing concerns.
· Problem-solve and recommend solutions to construction-related questions/concerns.
· Perform project planning and design on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects (primarily during the construction off-season).
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
· Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or a related degree)
· Experience in construction, construction inspection and/or construction management.
· Ability to work in the municipal engineering field
· Be self-sufficient with the ability to meet deadlines and lead project components.
· AutoCAD Civil 3D basic knowledge (preferred but not required).
· Possesses strong communication skills and be comfortable working directly with clients and contractors
