What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Dog Trainer position at RUFFGERS DOG UNIVERSITY?
Ruffgers is looking for a full time dog trainer to join our team as the head of the training department. Headquarters is located at 2348 Pineland Ave, Naples, FL, but this position will require travel to our other Ruffgers locations around Florida. Our ideal candidate loves dogs and interacting with them and their owners.
Pay is negotiable.
Additional to pay, the team shares tips on a monthly basis. On average, it equates to about $1.75 / hour additional pay (not included in advertised base rate pay).
Responsibilities
· Provide training to our daycare enrichment and board & train dogs
· Teach various training classes
· Teach private lessons
· Post pictures/videos and other training content to social media throughout the day
· Prepare and deliver report cards to clients who received training that day
· Ensure trainers at other locations are doing the same
· Travel to other locations to help teach trainers
· Assist in client relations as needed
· Assist our Front of House team when needed
· Assist our Back of House team when needed
Qualifications
· MUST LOVE DOGS! We work with all breeds, ages, and sizes!
· Moderate computer skills (our booking systems are all web-based systems)
· Moderate social media skills
· Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
· Ability to be flexible and problem solve
· Friendly, kind, and patient
· Punctual – our trainers are booked and scheduled with lessons and classes
