Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 27 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In Lenexa, KC, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as : Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)
Position Summary : This Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and directing warehouse operations by maintaining product inventory, accuracy and timeliness of deliveries, product storage and warehouse housekeeping. The Warehouse Manager will effectively coach and develop team members to ensure that the functions of the warehouse and delivery process continuously operate safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goodsSupervise and assist loading and unloading product shipments and the storage in the warehouseRoute all deliveriesMeasure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performanceEnsure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracyCommunicate job expectations and coach employees; hire and transition as neededProvide training and day-to-day job direction for other branch warehouse persons and truck driversValidating current inventory levels for accuracy conduct cycle counts as required and assist in taking inventory as required on a regular basisIdentify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practicesEnsuring warehouse staff and delivery driver’s work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policiesPerforms other duties and responsibilities as requiredJob Requirements (Education & Experience) :
2-4 years highly effective supervisory skills and techniqueProven ability to direct and coordinate operationsKnowledge of warehouse software packages and MS OfficeAbility to input, retrieve and analyze dataGood oral communication, employee relations and customer service skillsEssential Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift heavy awkward products repeatedly to store, removes from storage for fabrication, or load onto a truck up to 75 to 100 pounds with a helperMust be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouchingMust have good visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral visionThe candidate will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and locationThe candidate will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibrationsThis role is a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
