Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental professionals, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering high-quality patient care. The role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and familiarity with dental terminology, as well as experience with systems such as eaglesoft
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures in areas such as General Dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take and develop X-Rays following established protocols.
- Maintain patient records accurately using dental software systems, including Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Ability to take digital X-Rays safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to be able to use a scanner is very helpful
