Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 27 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In Lenexa, KC, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)
We are growing and seeking a Warehouse Lead!
Position: The Warehouse Lead directs warehouse operations by maintaining product inventory, accuracy and timeliness of deliveries, product storage and warehouse housekeeping. You provide direction, purpose, and motivation to a small crew of team members to accomplish Rugby's mission safely and efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...
- Supervise warehouse staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, and shipping of goods, ensuring proper handling and storage practices.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Enforce safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new employees on warehouse procedures and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements for increased efficiency.
- Resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during daily activities.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of warehouse machinery.
- Monitor and track productivity metrics to meet performance goals and objectives.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- This is a safety sensitive position, subject to routine drug screenings.
