Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overall maintenance of the facility, grounds, and equipment. The position requires a broad understanding of all trades and a self-driven attitude that needs little direction to be successful.

Responsibilities
- Safety is a top priority. Understands lockout/tag out and be able to take measures to utilize energy control power lockout and put the equipment in a safe state to work on.
- Be able to work on live machinery, which includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, loud, hot and cold environments and during inclement weather. Wear proper PPE.
- Have an excellent attendance record.
- Be able to diagnose basic electrical circuits and/or proximity switches/sensors for proper operation.
- To be able to diagnose basic mechanical issues for proper operation by listening, looking, smelling and feeling for vibration of equipment.
- Must be willing to receive verbal instructions from various levels of expertise for machining, air compressors, HVAC units, venting issues.
- Able to disassemble and reassemble basic and/or complicated machinery in a timely manner.
- Willing to call for technical support to help diagnose issues with unfamiliar machinery.
- Able to do basic plumbing of water and pneumatic air.
- Able to obtain Fork Truck, scissor lift and powered pallet jack certification.
- Able to use software to order parts for repairing equipment.
- Able to change various filters and clean various pieces of machinery for proper function.
- Able to work extended hours to get machines and processes up and running.
- Able to come in too assistance in an emergency on a non-scheduled day, which is a rare occurrence.
- Be able to adapt to changing situations and or jobs as priorities change.
- Able to change belts on various pieces of equipment.
- Able to drop one job to get a hot job going then pick right up where you left off.
- To maintain a clean work environment and clean up after all work that is performed which may include mopping the floor, cleaning windows and setting up for various events.
- Able to find and interpret instructions, directions and troubleshooting guides pertaining to machinery, furniture and any other applications.
- Keep the team updated on machine status and potential machine issues.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around moving parts, chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to work a flexible (Non-Standard) work schedule
- 5 years minimum work experience in various skill trades disciplines – electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpenter, welding, CNC machining, etc.
- 5 years minimum work experience in a maintenance function in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to lift 45lbs.
- Work independently, and proactively
