Pastoral Job Description:
- Sermons and Sunday School on Sunday (Fulfill the spiritual needs of the congregation through biblical teaching and preaching)
- Bible Studies/Prayer Meeting on Wednesday
- Communion and Baptisms (Administer the ordinances of the Church)
- Weddings
- Funeral Services
- Visitation of sick and shut-in members
- Community contact individually and through Church events
- Open office hours once or twice a week
Experience
- Must be in complete agreement with Apostles Creed and the Ruggles Church statement of faith.
- Be a bible believing Christian and an ordained Minister of like faith and practice.
- Be a visionary with sound judgement and discernment.
- Have a minimum of five years (preferred) of pastoral experience.
- Have sufficient training from a credited College/University/Bible Institue. Theological Seminary training is preferred but not required.
- Possess effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Growth oriented and possess care capability.
- Demonstrate financial awareness and responsibility.
- Committed to continuing education and development.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a congregation across all ages and gender.
- Possess effective administration skills and able to organize and lead effectively.
- Must demonstrate the ability to convey the truth of God's word accurately and effectively.
Must possess biblical and spiritual qualities as outlined in 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
