Rugiet Health is an Austin, TX-based growth-stage company aimed at disrupting the US Healthcare market by democratizing access to best-in-class compounded medications delivered through a bespoke / luxury online marketplace. Rugiet is operated by a small but passionate management team with deep industry experience in Clinical, Marketing, and Technology verticals.

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Web Developer to join our team, working closely with our marketing and tech teams on CMS-related and website-related projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern web development frameworks, particularly React and Next.js, along with a deep understanding of web performance and analytics. This role also includes mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using React and Next.js.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement CMS-related features and enhancements.
  • Work with performance analytics tools like Lighthouse and Google Analytics 4 to ensure websites are optimized for speed and efficiency.
  • Participate in and lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Translate design files from Figma into functional and responsive web pages.
  • Implement Git flow for version control and collaboration within the development team.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Communicate project timelines effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Ensure all web development processes are followed, with a strong focus on quality assurance and attention to detail.
  • Analyze the entire front-end stack and ensure a strong foundation for optimizing and scaling the codebase.

Day-to-Day Duties :

  • Actively participate in writing, testing, and maintaining clean and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with designers and the marketing team to bring creative concepts to life on the web.
  • Analyze and improve website performance using tools like Lighthouse.
  • Manage and optimize the deployment process using Vercel.
  • Work with CMS platforms, ensuring content updates are smooth and aligned with the marketing team’s needs.
  • Lead by example in following best practices for version control using Git.
  • Mentored and supported junior developers, providing guidance on best practices and problem-solving.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.

    • Required Skills and Experience :

  • 5 years of professional experience in web development with a strong focus on React and Next.js.
  • Proficiency in Git and experience with Git flow for version control.
  • Experience with Figma for design-to-development translation.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization using tools like Lighthouse and Google Analytics 4.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Ability to manage projects, set timelines, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A process-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality assurance and attention to detail.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like Storyblok.
  • Experience integrating tracking tools such as Hotjar, Matomo, Optimizely, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they influence web development.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • A collaborative team player who can also take initiative and lead when necessary.
