To be considered for this exceptional career opportunity you must have at least the following:
· Ability to work 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 4:00pm
· High School Diploma or GED
· Working knowledge of computers and computer systems
· Quick and accurate with basic math skills: ability to convert between fractions and decimal numbers, basic geometry is a plus
· Knowledge of decimal places and machining terminology used to reference each decimal place
· Ability to use and interpret measurements from inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers
· Basic GD&T knowledge of blueprint symbols and print layout
· Proven mechanical aptitude
· Punctual, with a strong attention to detail
· Ability to read and follow exact instructions as outlined
· Willingness to learn new parts and processes; takes instruction well
· Physical requirement to stand for entire 10 hour shift
· 3 years machining experience preferred; willing to train if you do not have any machining experience but meet other criteria for mechanical aptitude and math skills
CNC Swiss Operator Essential Duties:
· Required to keep 2-3 barfed swiss machines in production at the same time, while completing inspection requirements on parts produced.
· Inspect and document results per requirements on in process inspection sheet; be able to determine if measurements taken are within the acceptable tolerance on the in process inspection sheet and blueprint.
· Prepare bar stock and load bar feeders with material.
· Monitor and maintain machine adjustments, offsets, and replace broken/worn tools.
· Maintain proper oil/coolant levels in the machine. Be able to recognize a problem with the machine and notify supervisor of maintenance requirements. Involved in preventative maintenance program for CNC Swiss equipment.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
· Manage your time well and work efficiently to keep production on your machines on schedule.
